Komorebi

Komorebi is a men's wear collection inspired by the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, embracing the beauty of imperfection and transience. The collection features a kimono and wrap pants, designed to capture the harmony between nature and the human form. Drawing from the philosophy of finding beauty in simplicity and asymmetry, I incorporated the traditional surface technique of batik, creating unique patterns that reflect organic, natural textures. This project aims to honor the art of craftsmanship while celebrating the quiet elegance of imperfection.

Tiara

This tiara, created for my costume jewelry module, is inspired by the ethereal elegance of Elves. Crafted from brass, the piece features fluid lines inspired by nature that evoke a sense of otherworldly grace. I incorporated imitation jewels to add subtle sparkle and enhance its mystical allure. The design strikes a balance between minimalist and regal, with a focus on clean, refined detailing. This tiara blends fantasy with sophistication, making it an accessory for both costume or performance. It showcases both imaginative design and technical craftsmanship, capturing the timeless beauty associated with mythical elven figures.

Techpacks for Traditional costumes of Rural Rajasthan

For my research project, I created detailed tech packs inspired by the tribal costumes of rural Rajasthan. During a field visit, I immersed myself in the vibrant textiles, intricate embroidery, and cultural significance of these traditional garments. My aim was to blend these elements into contemporary design while preserving their authentic beauty. The tech packs I developed include specifications for fabric, construction methods, and embellishments, ensuring that each garment reflects the essence of Rajasthani tribal costumes. This project allowed me to explore the intersection of cultural heritage and modern design, showcasing my ability to translate research into wearable art.
